Vaiko conducted Three camps for the physically handicapped at Sivakasi,through which 8000 people recieved treatment.500 were operated upon in Sivakasi and another 2000 were operated at Tirupathi.Handicapped people were given Three wheel cycles,Wheel chairs and Crutches.
65,000 children under the age of 12 ,in Sivakasi constituency, were administered three doses of Hepatitis B vaccine.The logistics and the funds for the camps were solely arranged by Vaiko.The camps were held without a single glitch.
He has conducted many eye camps at Sivakasi.He founded the Marumalarchi Blood Donors Association ,members of which regularly donate blood to the needy.
Through his recommendation 913 people in Sivakasi constituency recieved funds from the PM's relief fund for Heart and Kidney operations.
